Breastfeeding Support
At Flagstaff Pediatric Care, we strive to provide the best and most comprehensive care for babies and their families. Breastfeeding is one of the most important things a mother can do to give her baby the healthiest start in life. However, breastfeeding can often be challenging. At Flagstaff Pediatric Care, we want to offer each mother who wishes to breastfeed the opportunity to receive quality care and support as she works to achieve her breastfeeding goals.
We currently have three Certified Breastfeeding Specialists available through North Country HealthCare at their Flagstaff 4th Street location every day of the week, as well as a pediatrician who is an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant.
Appointments are available to manage a wide variety of breastfeeding issues, such as low supply, pain when feeding, poor weight gain in baby, over supply, pumping, returning to work, weaning, and any other issues that breastfeeding mothers and babies face. There is also a breastfeeding warmline number that is checked every day by one of our Breastfeeding Specialists who will promptly return your call.
How To Schedule an Appointment
Please call 928.522.9400 and set an appointment with a breastfeeding specialist at your convenience. You do not need to be an established patient with a doctor at North Country HealthCare, although we do ask that a medical provider does a quick check-up for your baby during your lactation appointment.
Payment
Lactation appointments are scheduled in conjunction with a brief pediatric visit, and are billed as a pediatric appointment. Coverage will depend on your insurance plan. If you are uninsured, a sliding fee scale is available.
